Born in Casablanca in 1985, Houda Kabbaj left Morocco in 2005 to study at the Ecole Spéciale d'Architecture in Paris (ÉSA). Graduated in 2011, she works in Paris for three years at HDA. In 2014 she decided to devote herself to photography, which has accompanied her since she was 16 years old. Self-taught photographer, she mainly uses silver photography, whose experimental process is part of her approach.
Throughout 2019 she works alongside her filter shooter Diamantino Quintas with whom she deepens her skills in traditional printing. She defines her work as an introspective process related to her relationship with plants. Today she explores new mediums in continuity with her work and research. She lives and works between France and Morocco.
