Through this photographic series, the artist Aurele ANDREWS-BENMEJDOUB evokes the burning themes of genealogy and personal identity. The angle that the artist approaches for this exhibition is not a fixed angle. According to him, it is not a simple reproduction of reality, but the creation of something different and unique. The series poses and attempts to answer a multitude of questions millennia ago: Who am I? What is my place? Is it according to what I think I am, what I could be or would like to be? Is it only determined by my cultural, religious or geographical affiliations? One or several conjugations of reality? Identity, my identity? The existential anxiety associated with the tormented and inconstant nature of the world?
